I am pleased to see some of the changes in Elmira. It is still a pretty little town. It is still my home-town, and I am proud to call it that.
In third grade we sang a song, and I only remember this one verse: “Elmira, Elmira; I love that town”. How many in this young generation know the history and glamour of this wonderful place? It saddens me to know that so many don’t care and that so many native Elmiran’s bash our place — our home.
For the proponents of what they call “Hellmira” , may I suggest instead of bashing get off your asses and become a part of change. Come on, you can do it!
